Diana, can you describe yourself in a few lines?
I am a designer and leather artisan. I create and craft leather accessories and objects. I am also Swedish, of Indonesian origin, but I have been based in France for 20 years.

When did you get the idea to create your brand?

I always dreamed of creating my own brand, but for a long time I thought I needed more experience and more self-confidence. However, having children made me realize that time was precious and limited. I knew what I wanted and could do in the future. Since the craft of an artisan doesn't happen overnight, it was time to start.
Tell us about this place we are in, your workshop?
So, we are in my workshop at home, it's located in Maurecourt, in the Yvelines. I love the Yvelines because we are between the Oise and the Seine, so we are surrounded by water, and that reminds me a lot of Sweden, as I am Swedish. My workshop is a creative sanctuary for me. It's where all the ideas come to life. I have all my materials, my precious machines, my trials. It's the main room of my home.

The artist who inspires you?

I am very inspired by personalities like Diane Keaton. I love her style which is quite androgynous, eclectic, a bit theatrical. Since I was a professional dancer before and spent a lot of time in theaters, I like the creative and theatrical aspects.
I am also inspired by Pierre Soulages. I love colors, but sometimes I need a break. I like black, and he plays more on the reflection of light in his paintings, which adds another dimension to his art.
I also like Rosie Mcguinness's illustrations, which play a lot on very strong color lures. I drew a lot of inspiration from them for the very colorful summer collection.
Your favorite piece?
I think it's the BASTANT Mini. It's very small, but you can put the essentials in it: your phone, keys, and there's a little secret pocket to slip in a small candy. I think it suits Diane Keaton's silhouette well, which is both androgynous, classic, and a bit theatrical.

Your upcoming projects?
I will continue to develop my identity. I really enjoy creating custom pieces to establish this connection with my clientele, as I find it essential to offer personalized products at an affordable price.
