What inspired you to create your brand Labonin?
I've always loved everything related to craftsmanship: sewing, crochet… After sixteen years working as a press officer for a company, I felt the need to change my life. I wanted a more creative, freer path.
What do you like most about your work?
What I enjoy most is the research. I love to wander, search for fabrics, discover new materials at haberdasheries, imagine new designs… It's the part that excites me the most, where I truly feel at home.
What makes your pieces unique?
My pieces are all unique. I design collections and capsules of bags, but each bag is different: I choose a particular color combination for each one. No two are truly alike.
If your brand were a person, what would it be like?
I think I'm quite eclectic, full of fantasy, and above all, passionate about colors. They inspire and guide me in everything I do.
Where do you see your brand in five years?
That's a tough question… I don't know yet. But who knows? Maybe we'll meet again in Paris — and this time, I'll have my own boutique here.
