Who are you?
My name is Giada Brighenti and I am here to represent Mineralgemsstudio, a brand founded a few months ago but which has its origins in 2003 when my father opened a shop in Italy, selling not only jewelry but also works of art, fossils, and paintings.
What was your background before Mineralgemsstudio?
I worked in my father's shop since I was 13, then I studied economics at university. After working for an external company for a few years, I decided to launch my own brand.
How did you get the idea to launch Mineralgemsstudio?
It took a long process to decide to launch a brand because of the thousands of doubts and fears, but I think it was an idea that had been within me for a long time, perhaps since I was very young. Finally, I just decided to go for it.
Do you have a typical day?
Not really a typical day because sometimes we have photo shoots, sometimes we have to make jewelry by hand, sometimes we have to sell, sometimes we have to go to trade shows to buy different types of stones. But perhaps the most typical day is when I wake up, go to the shop where I prepare orders or put new items online on the website, and that's it.
Your favorite piece?
Oh, this one, it's the best-seller and it's the rainbow color. It's my favorite, it's the best-seller every day, every year. The one I prefer, and I don't know why, but it's also the best-seller everywhere.
Where do you find inspiration for your collections?
Different photos, also outside in the streets, looking at minerals and their colors.
Your best memory so far?
Probably those with my father when I was a child in his shop, trying to interact with customers even though I was very young.
