Who are you and what is VOLOIR?
My name is Christelle Cozzi Voloir and I founded VOLOIR, an innovative luxury leather goods brand. Our iconic model is embodied in the brand's first bag, the Paul bag, which is entirely made from upcycled leather from major luxury brands and manufactured in France in a workshop specializing in luxury goods.
It's a bag that can be worn in 5 different ways: on the shoulder, as a backpack, crossbody, or by hand; you can also separate it into two if you need a lighter bag.
The detail that makes your pieces unique?
The Paul bag has been designed with every detail in mind, as it features a jacket zipper that won't damage your clothes when you wear the bag against you. The handle is made of cowhide leather to prevent shoulder chafing, and the entire bag is very sturdy: proof of this is that I've been wearing mine since October and it hasn't budged!
The last trip that made an impression on you?
It was in Malta, the first time I traveled alone abroad. I really found myself alone, far from everything and everyone I knew: I think I've never been so re-centered on myself.
The essentials to have in your bag?
I have a lot of things in my bag that are truly my essentials: of course, there's a wallet, AirPods, lipstick; the classics. I also always carry leather samples of my bags to show, as well as a paper agenda and, of course, the branded VOLOIR notebook!
What are your plans for VOLOIR's future?
My plans for the next 5 years would be to have my own store in Paris. I also have collection plans until 2027, but the most anticipated for me is really to have my own boutique!
