Hello, my name is Maria Ruiz. I am the artistic director and founder of my brand Maria Ruiz. I come from Barcelona.
Can you tell us how Maria Ruiz came about?
I am proud to say that I am part of the fourth generation of women in my family to sew and crochet. Maria Ruiz started as a hobby, a way to escape my job in the luxury world. Little by little, this hobby became my profession.
Your favorite color?
I have two: white and green.
If your brand were a city, which one would it be and why?
If my brand were a city, it would be Paris. I feel deeply connected to this city, which embodies many of the fashion values I uphold today.
The secret to a perfect outfit?
Maria Ruiz accessories, of course!
What will Maria Ruiz look like in 10 years?
It's a long way off, but I would like to open boutiques with integrated workshops to support local artisans.
