How was nocollection born and what inspired you?

nocollection was born in 2002, but in a classic format of collection, manufacturing, and print creation. Whereas today, for the past 3 years, nocollection has evolved into a purely recycling format, as I've always had a crazy love for prints and colors. I found my happiness traveling in India; in old saris.

Your favorite piece?

I have several, but one is still my favorite: it's the Romy dress, a unique dress available in several prints. Each dress, each top is a unique piece; no two are ever identical.

Sunrise or sunset?

Sunset, without hesitation!

Your favorite place in Paris?

I have several, but one is truly my favorite spot: the Tuileries Garden. I love walking there very early in the morning, or at sunset. Sitting on chairs around the basin, it's a moment where I recharge.

The cultural influence that most inspires your creations?

As of today, nocollection truly corresponds to me as it is. What I like is finding old materials, old fabrics, and recycling. Only using what already exists. And above all, meeting artisans, working with women: all my models are made by women from rural areas a little outside Jaipur. It’s always about encounters; I often stay with them because Indians are very welcoming. That will remain what touches me the most: the encounters I can make today.

The next big step for your brand?

It's already here! I'm right in the middle of it, I don't think there will be another because nocollection has already mutated since 2002. I've found my happiness, what suits me best today.
